Huang Ju Hometown is the birthplace of Huang Ju, a Remonstrance Officer of the Sui Dynasty and one of the pioneers of ancient tunnel water conservancy in China. It is said that Huang Ju resigned from his official position and came to Fujian after his advice to Emperor Yang of Sui was rejected. He chose a place to settle down and undertook water conservancy projects, leaving behind a legacy celebrated for a thousand years.
