Wutongyu (Chinese Parasol Rain), located at the first section of the Fuhe River in Dongxihu District, stretches approximately 8 kilometers of shoreline and covers about 400 hectares. In line with the overall requirements of “transforming the two mountains theory and advancing dual-carbon transition,” this project empowers green development, introduces eco-leisure products, and builds a new-era urban ecological leisure brand integrating ecological protection, cultural and sports recreation, and comprehensive functions.
Through water management, afforestation, and urban planning, it creates an ecological green lung and establishes four natural habitats: rural terraces, wetland flower slopes, lush woodlands, and tranquil forests. It paints an ecological picture of “centuries-old parasol trees covered in gold, and a ten-mile gallery of blooming flowers.” Innovative forest-based activities such as flower appreciation, adorable pets, sports, and amusement are integrated into a new green urban suburban gameplay, showcasing a beautiful environment where “half is bustling city and half is scenic landscape, with harmonious coexistence of people, city, environment, and industry.” On one side lies the bustling glimpse of the city; on the other, the lush greenery under the forest bay. They converge and disperse here, creating a new tourism brand for Wuhan’s ecological zone and a demonstration benchmark for the under-forest economy. This also polishes Wuhan’s fifth ecological leisure international brand after the Two Rivers and Four Banks. Opening hours: All year round, 09:00-18:00.
